Our Lady of Victory Academy offers the opportunity for our juniors, seniors and some sophomores to take up to eight Advanced Placement courses, and two approved College courses. Successful completion of an AP course and exam, and our College courses, provides our students with the possibility of earning three college credits per course. These college credits are accepted by many colleges and universities throughout the country. Many of our seniors start college with over 10 college credits. This can save families thousands of dollars in tuition, as well as easing the burden of a typical college course load. We urge students and their parents to seriously consider the advantages of taking a college and AP course at Victory. In these courses the average class size is 15, our teachers give individual attention to students and the curriculum is spread over the whole year. In college the coursework would have to be completed in one semester, class size could be up to 100 students with very limited opportunity for individual assistance. Even though the work is hard, our students have the ability to be successful in these courses at Victory. They are the natural stepping stones in academics for our strong regents and honors students, before they undertake a tough college curriculum.
