Sisters of Mercy

Our Lady of Victory Academy is a high school sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy Mid-Atlantic Community of New York. In fulfilling their educational purpose, Our Lady of Victory Academy seeks to be faithful to the inspiration and legacy of Catherine McAuley, the 19th century founder of the Sisters of Mercy. She was motivated to make some lasting efforts to break the oppressive cycle of poverty and she was convinced that there was no better way to do so than through education, particularly the education of women. Our Lady of Victory Academy is built on that conviction.
