
On Thursday, October 4th 2007, Our Lady of Victory held its annual Honors Assembly. Many students were recognized for their academic achievements during the 2006/2007 school year, including Aeisha Lima who was awarded a certificate from the National Merit Scholarship Program. In addition to the students, Chief Betsy Gelardi of the Dobbs Ferry Police Department was congratulated and commended for her service to the community.

Our Lady of Victory Academy prides itself on giving women voice. On Thursday October 4th 2007, the shcool community recognized Police Chief Betsy Gelardi on her appointment as the first woman in Westechester to become Chief of Police.
Congratulations to Aeisha Lima!
Our Lady of Victory would like to acknowledge the exceptional accomplishment of Aeisha Lima in the category of National Merit. The National Achievement Scholarship Program has presented her with a certificate for being an outstanding participant in the 2008 Scholarship Program. Congratulations Aeisha!
Honor Roll
A number of students at Victory received certificates of recognition for achieving Principal's Honors, First Honors, and Second Honors. The requirements for Principal's Honors are an average of 95% with no grade lower than 90%. Students who achieve First Honors must have an average 90% with no grade lower than 80%. Second Honors students are required to have an average of 85% with no grade lower than 75%. Certificates were presented based on academic achievement for the 2006/2007 school year to the current Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes.
Honor Societies
The Alpha Honor Society recognizes and honors those students who have achieved an average of 90% and above for each of the five semesters in school. The members have been cooperative with school regulations and have been involved in school activities and service to others. Many Juniors and Seniors have maintained their cumulative average of 85% and have made an effort to demonstrate qualities of The National Honor Society and are thus recognized. The Italian Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society also recognizes various students for their academic achievements in the 2006/2007 school year.
Class Awards
Individual medals of merit have been presented to students at Our Lady of Victory who have demonstrated and maintained outstanding achievement in specific subject areas. Recognition is based on the 2006/2007 school year and awarded to current Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
Sepcial Awards
In addition to their recognition within Our Lady of Victory, many students have recieved outside awards from various Colleges, Universities, and other Institutions. Furthermore, some students have been recognized for their achievements on Regents and Advanced Placement Exams. Seven students earned a perfect score of 100% on Regents Exams last year. Thirteen students earned a 3 or higher on Advanced Placement Exams in various subjects. Our AP teachers and students deserve to be recognized for their diligence and hard work.
Eleven students in the graduated class of 2007 also achieved special recognition for their efforts in Advanced Placement Exams and classes.
